I am pleased to announce new titles for Clem Campana and Robert Haney that recognize past service and newly assumed duties in Human Resources.
Clem Campana recently was appointed as the college’s coordinator of Training and Development. The new title is an outgrowth of Clem’s role implementing a program that provides assistance to faculty and staff returning to campus following many months of remote work and teaching. With support from Counseling and Wellness Services, his focus is helping employees deal with COVID-related anxiety and stress. He’s also helping to promote the new “Lift” personal enrichment program for all employees.
A college employee for 32 years, Clem set up a fuel management system for the campus vehicle fleet, an inventory control system and a custodial building inspection schedule as operations assistant for Physical Plant. He moved to HR in 2015-16 as operations assistant for Administration.
Robert Haney, who came to HVCC in November 2018, was appointed Assistant Director of Human Resources.
Prior to his promotion, Bob executed the rollout of BizLibrary. The online learning portal provides the platform for the numerous, state-mandated trainings that all employees are required to complete annually. These include SUNY Sexual Harassment Prevention, Preventing and Handling Workplace Violence, Active Shooter and Workplace Violence, Right-to-Know: Federal and New York Standards, Title IX: Equal Education for All, and FERPA Explained.
In addition to administering BizLibrary to deliver and monitor completion of the mandated trainings, he oversees various timekeeping activities, including programming updates to Kronos, and manages the health insurance portal and Trakstar, the employee performance evaluation system.
Congratulations to Bob and Clem!
